Pope Francis meets his littlest fan!

When Pope Francis spoke at the Vatican at St. Peter Square last week, a six-year-old boy climbed onstage and hugged him, tugging his robes and kissing the cross around his neck. Eventually, the Pope convinced the boy to take a seat… in the Pope’s chair!

It was a very touching look at just how patient and compassionate all church leaders (or any adult) should be. As a nonreligious person, even I can’t help but be inspired by the kindness, open-mindedness, and humbleness of the new Pope. To all my Catholic friends… you really got a good one this time!
